Do I meet the criteria to foster?

Anyone can apply to foster in the UK.

Most fostering organisations would like applicants to be aged between 25 and 65 years at the time of approval although there can be some variations on this. You need to have British Citizenship or permanent leave to remain in the UK. You also need a permanently spare room to foster.

If you meet the above criteria you have met the initial criteria to proceed.

Your gender, sexual orientation, relationship status and religion would not preclude you from fostering.

If you would like to discuss the next steps please contact us.

We can let you know if you meet the additional criteria to proceed.

We can complete your Initial Viability and we can let you know if you meet the necessary criteria to move onto the next stage, the home visit.
